The team at Denver abortion clinics – Mile High OB/GYN have been providing abortion services for almost 40 years. Their policy has always been to put the patient first, and to provide compassionate care at an affordable price. They treat local patients as well as patients who travel to the office from all around the country.
At Mile High OB/GYN a team of board-certified obstetricians, including male and female doctors, are available for both medical and surgical abortions. Medical abortions are available for patients at up to 10-weeks gestation. This procedure consists of a pill taken at home, which the doctors at Mile High will go over with you at your consultation. Surgical abortions are a quick and low risk option for patients beyond 10-weeks gestation. The procedure itself takes less than 10 minutes, and the overall appointment runs approximately 45 minutes. You’ll be allowed to bring a friend, family member, or other support provider in for the procedure with you, if you so desire.
Some patients aren’t in need of counseling or consultation, so the team at Mile High always treat abortion services like emergency care. They work hard to schedule appointments within 48 hours of the patient’s call, so there’s no lengthy wait time. Should a patient want counseling first, the team will happily talk you through all the available options for care. They’ll also help you work out any financing or insurance questions you might have beforehand.
In addition to abortion services, the doctors at Mile High specialize in the full range of OB/GYN services. They can advise you on any treatment related to your pregnancy, but you won’t be pushed in any particular direction. They approach every case with respect, compassion, and expertise, so you always get the quality care you deserve.

Oftentimes, insurance companies cover most of the cost of the procedure. We will reimburse you any money your insurance gives back to the price of your procedure. How much do medical and surgical abortions cost?
Medical abortions, which are only available for women up to 10 weeks into their pregnancy, cost $410. Surgical abortions, for women up to 12 weeks, are $360. If your pregnancy is more than 12 weeks, please call our office to discuss prices.
Can I switch which type of abortion I want when I get to the office?
Yes. Especially because we need to better understand the timing of your pregnancy, women are always allowed to choose whether they want a medical or surgical abortion on the day of their appointment.
If I get an abortion, can I still get pregnant in the future?
Yes. More than 99 percent of women will not have any problem getting pregnant in the future because they got an abortion. In a very small number of cases (less than one percent), some women may be prone to an infection which could interfere with future fertility. Please talk to our doctors, rather than turning to the internet, to learn more about the real statistics and likelihood of this.
What if I am Rh-negative?
It is fairly common to be Rh-negative—15 percent of people are. Many women discover that they are Rh-negative during a pregnancy that needs to be terminated. If you are Rh-negative, we will help terminate your pregnancy and provide an injection of Rhogam for $60 that will help protect your future pregnancies.
Understanding your Rhesus (Rh) factor is important, because when a man and woman are either Rh-negative—or one is Rh-negative and the other is positive—the fetus can end up with a different status than the mother. When mothers are Rh-negative and the fetus is positive, a mother’s antibodies will attack the baby. Rhogam shots coat a fetus’s cells so that the mother’s body doesn’t recognize them, and doesn’t hurt them.
